Rich Media House featured in Web Designer Magazine.

Rich Media House produced 5 flash templates for the most recent issue of Web Designer magazine which was published today. These templates were featured on the cover CD and are also published in our portfolio here. In addition, the magazine also featured an interview with Rich Media House Chief Executive Officer, Dr Riaz Agha, which is available here (PDF and html) .

For those unfamiliar with Web Designer Magazine, Deputy Editor, Mark Billen said:

Rich Media House CEO writes about Website Accessibility for Public Service Review: Transport, Local Government and the Regions

Dr Riaz Agha, Rich Media House CEO was invited to write about website accessibility for the latest issue of: Public Service Review: Transport, Local Government and the Regions which was published today. In his article he discusses a range of issues such as current legislation on the issue, the extent of poor website accessibility and discussion of some case studies.

The journal has a circulation of 9,512 and is distributed to HR, IT and Procurement Directors of 465 local authorities and aims to address key issues at the heart of local government. Past contributors to PSCA Journals include:

Peter Harrison Joins Rich Media House Ltd

Rich Media House is proud to formally welcome Mr Peter Harrison as an advisor to Rich Media House.

Peter Harrison has worked as an executive director of Goldman Sachs Equities from 1993 until February 2000. Prior to Goldman, Peter summer-interned at McKinsey in 1992 and graduated with an MBA from Kellogg Graduate School of Management in 1993.

Before Business School , he trained as a Chartered Accountant with Deltoitte and worked at Andersen. He qualified as a tax practitioner (ATII), an investment manager (AIIMR) and a Corporate Treasurer (ACT).

After popular request, Chief Executive Dr Riaz Agha has now started a weblog on the New Media Insustry. Following in the footsteps of millions of bloggers and even some prominent IT folk, like Jonathan Schwartz , Dr Agha hopes to actively engage the New Media community in discussion about news and trends affecting our industry.

Christopher Jonas Joins Rich Media House Ltd

Rich Media House is proud to formally welcom Mr Christopher Jonas CBE as our New Chairman. Mr Jonas has been informally advising the company for the past year.

Christopher Jonas has served as an independent director on the main board of British Railways and the board of Canary Wharf plc. He is on the joint ventures board of Bank of Scotland and the investment board of CBRE Investors in the UK . Until recently he was chairman of Glasgow Harbour Ltd, of Education Capital plc (specialist funding for the FE sector), the Ethics Standards Board of the Accountancy Foundation and the England board of Bank of Scotland. He is a partner in Chelsfield Partners LLP and a principal private equity investor in early stage companies, with an emphasis on those founded and managed by young and highly motivated owner/managers.

His pro bono work includes being Chairman elect of Goldsmiths College , University of London , and board membership of English National Opera. He is chairman of Roedean, and was chairman of the major arts restoration programmes at Tate Modern and the London Coliseum. In 1989 he founded ProHelp, a charity that arranges for professional firms to give their expertise free to the voluntary sector. ProHelp offers about £5m of free advice each year and now comprises over 1000 members. He is a past president of the RICS.
