 Background
The International Journal of Surgery (IJS) is dedicated to the global advancement of surgical research, education and clinical practice. It aims to promote continued developments in surgery through the sharing of knowledge and ideas across all surgical specialties. The journal goes to 3,600 institutions worldwide and receives original research from a global community of authors.
The Brief
Rich Media House was commissioned to build a new website for the IJS with the aim of engaging the readership in online contributions and interactive content.

The website features a blog, poll, podcasts, a media library with images and videos, exclusive articles and other specialist content. Furthermore, the site features social bookmarking, email-a-friend links, RSS feeds, strong search functions as well publishing tools and web 2.0 features for site visitors.
